What does a typical day in your life look like?

I’m in my last year of high school, so of course that is a huge part of my life. I’m studying at an acting school which is great because I’m a creative person, and hate wasting my time on subjects that I don’t find creatively stimulating. I want to do something which in my eyes is more important, and luckily the finish line has never been closer.

My typical day looks like this: I wake up, and usually spend around 15 minutes deciding what to wear. I’m picky and hate mismatching colors and patterns that I don’t think works together. I like to match my shoes with my outfit and maybe an accessory - like a necklace or/ and hair clips. I love to match it with a cute purse, but there’s really no point when you’re going to school. Then, I either make myself a cup of coffee or pick one up at the coffee shop I work at. I can’t function a whole day without caffeine. I’m quite restless so I usually go to work or hang out with friends after school.

Describe your personal style and how it came to be.

I’ve loved fashion since I was a kid. You could say I’ve always been a little different and stuck out (even though I had my little period in like 8th grade when I tried to fit in, but I quickly found out that it wasn’t me). What’s bothering me is the people that used to pick on me and the things I wore, are now copying my style. Anyways, the 90s and y2k has always been an inspiration; that includes watching music videos on the MTV channel from that era and watching Mean Girls as a kid. I love colors, but usually not too many mixed together in one outfit. My favorite colors are green, blue, purple and brown, and I get a lot of inspiration from people I follow on Instagram like Enya (@enjajaja), Devon (@devonleecarlson) and Bella (@internetgirl). Bella has a Youtube channel where she posts videos of her making bundles to people that orders from her on Depop - they describe their style and what they like and then she makes a whole outfit for them. It’s so fun and inspiring to watch.

What’s your daily uniform?

Probably a good pair of jeans, I particularly love vintage Levis 501s and dickies. And usually pair it with a tank top and a cardigan - and then some cute platform doc’s or a pair of sneakers like one stars. Of course I’ll also add some cute accessories (they do a great job at spicing up the outfit) and finish it off with a good belt. This is pretty basic, but since I go to school I don’t tend to dress up that much. I wear whatever I feel comfortable in, but I still like to look put together.

Do you plan your outfits the day before or depending on the mood of the day?

I usually don’t plan my outfits for a normal day since I go to school, but when it’s a special occasion, like I’m going somewhere for the weekend, taking pictures for my Instagram or going to a festival, I definitely plan the day before or even earlier, especially when it’s for festivals.

What clothing items are you most comfortable in vs which kind of pieces makes you feel powerful when you wear them?

I feel very comfortable in my daily “uniform” which I described, I love wearing a cropped top and a cute pair of pants, and with my platform doc’s or my platform leopard eytys pair of sneakers I’m definitely ready to take over the world. But I should also mention that I also love to dress up.

Favorite style icon?

That’s a difficult question. There’s too many powerful and strong ladies out there who inspire me, and I draw inspiration from a lot of people and put it together as my own style, so I don’t have just one favorite style icon.

What is important to you when you shop?

Definitely that I don’t have any doubts about the piece. When I see something I really like, I usually can’t stop thinking about it the whole day if I dont get it, so when I get that feeling I usually buy it right away - “love at first sight”. I really like to thrift and buy vintage stuff because it’s not only good for the environment, but the vintage pieces are one of a kind and stick out. Thrifting is kind of hard when you live in Norway though, as we mostly have the salvation army. So I usually buy vintage and thrift when I’m traveling, or order on Depop or the Norwegian version Tise. And shoutout Nuet Wear for selling vintage pieces <3

Favorite piece in your closet at the moment?

At the moment I think it’s my cardigan from Ragged Priest which is checkered black and neon green - or my neon green velvet work pants from Brandy Melville.

Name three pieces from your closet which you can’t live without.

A tank top, Levis 501 and Dickies pants.

One trend you hope never sees the light of day again and one trend you would like to see make a comeback?

I hope the real fur trend never sees the light of day again. I would love to see more low waist jeans, I used to hate it, but they can be super cute with a short tee or a crop top, we love that y2k style.

What’s in your shopping cart?

Too many vintage pieces on Depop, dresses from Realisation Par and everything from Unif.

Favorite trend of 2019?

It has to be neon green. I still love neon green to this day but it’s all about how you style it.
