Our week in outfits
1 week x 14 outfits x sustainability from head to toe.
The Norwegian summer means days spent swimming in lakes, reading on the balcony and eating wild berries. On the best days you’re warm enough to go to the beach and wear whatever summer fashion you desire, but usually you never quite know what the weather will be like; A cloudless sky, wind, rain, sun, and then thunderstorms (sometimes even snow) - all in one day.
As you probably know by now, we’re moving to London next week. Therefore, we decided to capture one of our last weeks here in our home town on the Norwegian west coast - by allowing our outfits to tell the story. Here is a glimpse into what one week in our daily lives during late summer looks like.

Jeans: Vintage Calvin Klein // Rokit Vintage (London, UK)
Sweater: Knitted sweater with embroidered flowers // Fretex (ØYA festivalen)
Bag: Retro leather bag // Fretex (Stavanger)
Jewelry: Recycled brass hoops // Made UK x Silver ring with red stone // Local jewelry store (Ubud, Bali)
Inspiration: The color red: I decided to pick a sweater, ring and lipstick that matched my red nail polish. I also had in mind that I wanted to wear something warm and comfortable to work + an afternoon spent outside. In retrospect, it reminds me of something my mother would wear in the 90’s.
Jeans: Vintage Calvin Klein // Rokit Vintage (London, UK)
Top: Sheer floral blouse // Hand-me-down from my mother
Hair-clips: Minimalistic hair-clips // Local jewelry store in Santorini
Inspiration: Warm summer days calls for floral print. Although I spent most of the day at the office, I wanted to feels summery. So I put on a light blouse, some lavender eyeshadow and pulled my hair back with a pair of minimalistic hair-clips that reminds me of my summer in Greece a few years back.
Jeans: 70’s flared jeans // Sage Me Baby
Top: Vintage cropped blouse // Caprice vintage (Nice, France)
Shoes: Purple 90’s platform docs // Tise.no
Inspiration: The Parisienne with a twist, which is a favorite look of mine. I often find myself inspired by the classic Parisian fashion (especially from the 60’s), and like to add a personal touch to it. This time, I chose a vintage blouse from France, some fitted jeans, gold hoops and red lipstick - to capture that French vibe + a pair of platform docs from the 90’s as the little twist.
Sweater: Pink sweater // Fretex (Stavanger)
Lipstick: Cherry // Fruu.co.uk
Bag: Glossier bag // Glossier LA (gifted by a friend)
Inspiration: Felt kind of sleepy this morning so my main priority was comfort tbh, hence the combination of my most comfy jeans and sweater. To make the look more interesting I added some big golden hoops, a Glossier canvas bag that matches my sweater and a bit of red lipstick (I’m a big fan of red lipstick if you haven’t noticed already💋).
Pants: Vintage flared pants // Kilo shop (Barcelona, Spain)
Top: Vintage silk blouse // Velouria Vintage (Oslo, Norway)
Lipstick: Cherry // Fruu.co.uk
Nailpolish: Sienna Byron Bay // Belle & the Brave (Stavanger)
Inspiration: 50’s menswear. It’s often overshadowed by the swing dresses, matching pastel accessory and the bullet bra from the same time period, but what I like about 50’s menswear in particular is the way quality tailoring is a main priority. The overall design can be simple, but because of the attention to tailoring and detail, the outfit looks refined and unique. My version of that was to combine a white and simple silk blouse and a pair of vintage flared pants (similar to men’s dress pants in the 50’s).
Pants: High-waisted corduroys // Tise.no
Top: Vintage H2O sportswear shirt // Tise.no
Scarf: Vintage silk scarf // Rumors Vintage (Amsterdam, Netherlands)
Inspiration: Saturday! Since I wasn’t going to work today, I felt like experimenting. I wanted the outfit to push me outside my normal comfort zone and be kind of kitchy; combining colors and textures I wouldn’t normally mix and match, but that somehow works together. I’m not sure how I feel about this look yet, but I think I’m a fan?
Dress: Olive knit dress // Fretex (Stavanger)
Sunglasses: Vintage sunglasses // Robot (Oslo, Norway)
Lipgloss: Cherry // La Chinata
Inspiration: Minimalism. This sunny and lazy Sunday, my olive knit dress seemed like the natural choice, but I wanted an overall minimalistic look, which is why I went for a bit of clear lipgloss and a pair of vintage sunglasses.
Denim: Light blue & high waisted // Key Rose
Top: Green knitted tee // Fretex (Stavanger)
Bag: Canvas tote // Hand made by @Sophievstheuniverse (ig)
Inspiration: My mother - and the weather, considering how it was super windy whilst also being warm. This outfit was perfect for walking around outside all day! Also, how perfect is this green color?! So greatful for this purchase. My rings were either passed down from my mother or given to me by my family for my 18th birthday last year and made locally by a Danish silversmith!
Jeans: You just know these are made for rollerblading in the 80s // No brand name (Portobello market, UK)
Top: Hand me down from grandma and mom // No brand name
Inspiration: None, to be honest. I spent most of the day working on personal projects so my intent was to be as comfy as possible. However, this is defiantly an outfit you’ll find me wearing out and about as well.
Jeans: Light blue & high waisted // Key Rose
Top: Blue Hawaii tee // ALSTYLE
Bag: Canvas tote // Small boutique in Crete
Inspiration: None, to be honest (again). This day was all about functionality and I threw on the first thing that caught my eye whilst getting ready for the day. However, this outfit is a true representation of my style; Oversized and 50 shades of blue…
Jeans: Light blue & high waisted // Key Rose
Top: Thrifted Tucson t-shirt // DELTA
Bag: Black hand-me-down bag // No brand name
Inspiration: Baseball outfits & 90’ dad fashion; comfy, sporty, yet classy - and not to mention fun! I bought the top from a vintage store in Stavanger, which since then has become a go-to for both dressy and chill occasions. To add something extra, I picked a black purse to keep all my eco goodies whilst having a productive day.
Jeans: Light blue & high waisted // Key Rose
Top: White tee hand-me-down // Marks & Spencer
Inspiration: Suki Waterhouse - an icon for sophisticated and simle fashion. A white tee, oversized denim and loose hair; my go-to outfit no matter the season or weather.
Denim: Vintage black straight legged // Large sportswear by match
Top: White ribbed tank // Thrifted Brandy Melville
Inspiration: The “Friends” seires, specifically Rachel. What a style guru.
Jeans: Made for rollerblading in the 80s // No brand name (Portobello market, UK)
Top: Black one shoulder dress // Hand-me-down Acne Studios
Shoes: Classic black heels // No brand (Hand-me-downs from grandma)
Inspiration: Women in their 40s going to brunch. My emotions were all over the place due to the stress that comes with moving and saying goodbye to friends hit hard. I truly needed a dressy outfit to feel like myself. Therefore, I turned my dress into a top and pretend I had my life together.
